Job Description

An exciting contract opportunity is available for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) motivated to support student success in an educational setting. This position is set near Greer, SC, ideal for a compassionate professional eager to make a meaningful impact during a scheduled maternity leave coverage. The assignment is anticipated to run from mid-February to mid-May 2027, offering full-time work across several vibrant elementary schools. In this role, you will collaborate directly with one of the districts Occupational Therapists, providing skilled support to elementary students. Your day will typically involve working with 9-10 students, focusing on 30-minute, individualized therapy sessions that foster student development and independence.
Desired Qualifications:
Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in South Carolina Experience providing therapeutic services in school settings or with pediatric populations strongly preferred Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with OTs and educational staff Strong organizational skills to manage schedules and documentation for multiple schools Adaptability and compassion in meeting the diverse needs of young learners
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct occupational therapy services to elementary students, in alignment with IEP goals Work closely with a supervising OT to implement targeted treatment plans Maintain detailed and timely documentation for all therapy sessions Communicate progress and challenges to staff and contribute to team meetings as required Flexibly travel between assigned school locations as part of the weekly schedule This position offers a rewarding chance to serve children in a supportive educational environment while gaining valuable experience in school-based practice.
