Achieving Milestones Pediatric Therapy About Us Achieving Milestones Pediatric Therapy is dedicated to helping children reach their full potential through compassionate, individualized therapy in a supportive, family-focused environment. Our team provides high-quality care that helps children build confidence, develop skills, and achieve meaningful milestones. Position Summary We are seeking a Full-Time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide hands-on occupational therapy services to pediatric patients under the direction and supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist. The COTA will implement individualized treatment plans, create engaging therapy activities, support families, and collaborate with the multidisciplinary therapy team to help children make meaningful progress. This position follows a four-day workweek: Tuesday-Friday, 8:00 AM-6:00 PM. Key Responsibilities Provide direct occupational therapy services to pediatric patients under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist. Implement individualized treatment plans and therapeutic interventions. Create fun, engaging, and developmentally appropriate activities based on each child's needs and goals. Support development of fine motor, sensory processing, visual-motor, self-care, and functional skills . Monitor patient progress and communicate observations to the supervising Occupational Therapist. Educate and support parents and caregivers with strategies they can use at home. Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation. Collaborate with OTs, PTs, SLPs, and other members of the therapy team to provide coordinated care. Participate in team meetings, training, continuing education, and community outreach activities as appropriate. Qualifications Current Texas Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license/certification. Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program. Pediatric therapy experience preferred. Strong understanding of child development and pediatric occupational therapy. Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills. Creative, patient, and energetic approach to working with children. Ability to build positive relationships with children and their families. Experience with eClinicalWorks (ECW) is a plus.
