Provide occupational therapy interventions for clients with neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorder and childhood developmental delays. Facilitate therapy sessions in various settings, including hospitals, outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, and home health visits. Help with patient transport and manual handling to ensure safe movement and transfer of individuals with disabilities or mobility challenges. Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress, treatment notes, and care plans in compliance with healthcare regulations. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care and optimal recovery outcomes. Support patients' physiological and anatomical needs through proper techniques and understanding of medical terminology and physiology. Skills Proven experience assisting with ADLs and providing occupational therapy services across diverse populations. Strong background in home health, inpatient care, outpatient therapy, skilled nursing facilities, and clinic environments. Knowledge of medical imaging procedures and their relevance to occupational therapy assessments is a plus. Expertise working with individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism or disabilities related to geriatrics or pediatrics. Familiarity with creating and following detailed care plans tailored to each patient's unique needs. Ability to handle patient transport safely using proper manual handling techniques while ensuring comfort and safety. Solid understanding of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and occupational health principles relevant to therapy practices. Experience working with patients experiencing acute conditions or recovery from injuries in various healthcare settings.
