Responsibilities Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as dressing, grooming, feeding, and mobility to support patient independence Implement treatment plans designed by licensed occupational therapists, ensuring goals are met effectively Help facilitate therapy sessions for clients with neurodevelopmental disorders or disabilities in skilled nursing facilities Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals including physicians, physical therapists, speech therapists, and caregivers to optimize patient care Conduct patient transport within facilities safely using manual handling techniques and ensure proper care documentation Apply knowledge of physiology and anatomy to assist in therapy activities and monitor patient progress accurately Experience Prior experience working in acute care environments such skilled nursing facilities is desireable. Demonstrated experience in skilled nursing facilities or outpatient clinics supporting diverse patient populations Hands-on experience with medical imaging understanding is a plus for interdisciplinary treatment coordination Proven ability to communicate effectively with clients and caregivers to explain therapy procedures and progress updates Familiarity with care plans development and implementation for clients with geriatrics needs Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to occupational therapy practice enhances your ability to collaborate seamlessly with the healthcare team Experience working with individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders or disabilities with geriatric patients This energetic role invites passionate professionals eager to foster healing and independence through compassionate care.
