Key Qualifications:

Active state licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) is required Previous experience in pediatrics, specifically in a school environment, is a plus Strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with students, educators, and families Ability to develop and implement creative interventions tailored to individual student needs Team-oriented with a passion for enhancing childrens progress in academic and daily life skills

Primary Responsibilities:

Assist occupational therapists in providing therapy services to students, following individualized education plans (IEPs) Implement treatment sessions to foster fine motor, sensory, and self-care abilities Monitor student progress and document outcomes, making recommendations for adjustments as needed Communicate regularly with teachers, therapists, and parents to support comprehensive care and student success Maintain compliance with all school, district, and state documentation requirements
