e2140-23219 Job Description Make a meaningful impact in pediatric care by supporting students growth and participation in school environments. This full-time, on-site opportunity is perfect for Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) who are passionate about working with children and open to travel assignments. Located near Richmond, VA, you'll help deliver occupational therapy services in a collaborative, educational setting.
Desired Qualifications:
Current state licensure to practice as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Experience working with pediatric populations, preferably in school-based or similar settings Strong communication skills to work effectively with students, families, and educational teams Ability to adapt interventions to diverse learning needs and environments Detail-oriented with effective documentation and time management skills
Responsibilities:
Assist in implementing individualized therapy plans designed by Occupational Therapists to support students access to curriculum and daily school functions Use therapeutic techniques to enhance fine motor skills, sensory processing, and self-care abilities in children Monitor and document student progress, adapting strategies as needed in coordination with supervising therapists Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other support staff to foster an inclusive educational experience Participate in team meetings, contribute insight for IEP development, and support student goals across school settings This position offers competitive weekly pay, comprehensive health and dental insurance, and a company-matched 401(k) plan.
