Category Schools - COTA Job Type Contract Step into an engaging role supporting K-12 students throughout a vibrant school district as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. This full-time, contract opportunity offers the chance to make a meaningful impact, working on-site across multiple district buildings and supporting students with diverse needs. You'll play a vital role in fostering academic success and independence within the learning environment. Ideal candidates have experience in school-based or special education settings and thrive in dynamic, collaborative situations. Your flexibility and passion for helping students achieve their goals will be invaluable as you travel between locations and work with a variety of age groups.
Qualifications:
Active Washington State COTA license NBCOT Certification Previous experience in a school-based or special education environment is highly valued Ability to travel between district buildings as needed Strong communication and collaboration skills
Key Responsibilities:
Support students' participation in school activities through therapeutic interventions Collaborate with occupational therapists, teachers, and families to implement student IEPs Provide direct and consultative services for K-12 students across multiple sites Document and track student progress, keeping accurate and timely records Assist with adapting classroom materials and environments to promote student success This role offers an exciting blend of variety and purpose, allowing you to develop your skills in a welcoming educational community while making a daily difference.
