Job Description
This is a full time or part time, school based position for the 2026-2027 school year with a school district near Janesville, WI. About us Bloom Therapy and Wellness, LLC is a therapist owned private practice located in Rock County, WI. Our goal is to cultivate a career opportunity where our occupational therapists feel valued in the meaningful work they do.
Duties:
Assist in the assessment of students' needs and abilities under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist. Implement individualized therapy plans to improve students' fine motor skills, sensory processing, and coordination. Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to integrate occupational therapy strategies into the classroom. Assist students with activities of daily living, such as feeding, dressing, and personal hygiene. Support students in developing fine motor skills needed for classroom tasks such as handwriting and using classroom tools.Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working in the pediatric field as an occupational therapist, preferred school based experience
- Proficient in implementing treatment plans that are client and strengths based centered
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Strong understanding of occupational therapy principles and techniques
- Ability to effectively manage a diverse caseload
Skills:
- Excellent therapeutic use of self service skills, with the ability to establish rapport and build trust with patients
- In-depth knowledge of child development
- Proficiency in occupational therapy techniques to address functional limitations
- Must have reliable transportation as OT will use own vehicle to drive to client's homes (or wherever natural environment are for client)
