Responsibilities Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote patient independence Support the implementation of individualized care plans designed by licensed occupational therapists Conduct pediatric occupational therapy sessions focusing on childhood developmental delays and autism spectrum disorder interventions Help patients with manual handling techniques and safe patient transport within healthcare facilities or home settings Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals including physicians, physical therapists, and caregivers to ensure cohesive patient care Document treatment progress accurately and maintain detailed care documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations Use your physiology and anatomy knowledge to adapt therapy techniques for clients with neurodevelopmental disorders or disabilities Requirements Valid certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) from an accredited program Proven experience working in inpatient settings, skilled nursing facilities, outpatient clinics, or home health environments Strong understanding of medical terminology, care planning, and treatment plan implementation Experience assisting with ADLs and providing pediatric occupational therapy for clients with autism or childhood developmental delays Familiarity with medical imaging procedures and physiology concepts relevant to occupational therapy practice Ability to communicate effectively with clients, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams about care strategies and progress Knowledge of manual handling techniques, patient safety protocols, and occupational health standards Prior experience working with individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders or disabilities is highly desirable Join us in delivering compassionate care that transforms lives!
