Our practice is growing and we have a new, unique employment opportunity! We are looking to build the support staff to enhance the patient experience. Optical Expressions is seeking enthusiastic individuals that are passionate about patient care to fill two open positions of Optometric Technician/Front Desk Support. One position is available at our Hilton Village location in Scottsdale and the second is for a flexible schedule for an individual to float between all 3 locations. A part time schedule would be considered for the floating position.
Job Summary:
The Optometric Technician/Front Desk Support is an essential member of the Optical Expressions team. This individual is responsible for preparing patients to see our doctors by obtaining chief complaints, gathering medical histories, pre-testing patients and assisting the doctors as necessary. This individual will also be responsible for answering phones, scheduling appointments and coordinating patient care. The ideal candidate will possess excellent people skills and the ability to handle a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude and a smile. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Documenting chief complaints, visual/ocular/medical histories within electronic health records (Revolution EHR) Visual acuity testing Auto-refraction/Auto-keratometry/Topography measurements IOP measurements/iCare Optomap imaging Assisting patients in scheduling consultations with specialists Duties may also include checking patients in and out, scheduling appointments and answering phone calls, as needed Crosstraining as necessary to provide ultimate team support
Qualifications:
Highly motivated and driven to provide the highest standards of patient care and customer service and a desire to provide team support Strong communications skills with the ability to multitask and problem solve Working knowledge of computers and ability to maintain data within an electronic health records system; experience with Revolution EHR is a plus Prior experience in an optometric or medical practice is preferred, but training is provided Bilingual/Spanish speaking is a plus
Benefits:
