Duties Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and manage appointment scheduling using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems Conduct patient intake by collecting medical history, updating records, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies Prepare patients for eye exams by performing preliminary tests such as visual acuity assessments and basic ocular measurements Assist with clinical procedures involving anatomy knowledge of the eye, physiology, and optometry protocols while maintaining sterile environments Manage medical records accurately, ensuring proper documentation of clinical notes, coding, billing, and insurance information in compliance with medical coding standards Experience Previous experience in a medical office setting or optical practice is highly desirable Knowledge of electronic health record (EHR) management systems like Epic or EMR platforms Strong understanding of medical terminology related to eye care and anatomy Experience handling medical equipment operation with attention to aseptic technique and clinical confidentiality policies Background in retail sales or customer service within a healthcare or optical environment is a plus Ability to perform direct patient care tasks including vital signs measurement, intake processing, and assisting with pediatric patients if needed Join us to be part of a passionate team committed to delivering outstanding eye care!
