Full Time Medical Assistant/Ophthalmic Technician

We are a fast-paced medical office looking for a smart, innovative, proactive, and people-oriented person to join our team as a technician and patient advocate. Previous experience in a doctor's office setting is preferred, but our practice will train the right candidate with a strong potential and right attitude, and dedication to staying long term. Minimum Qualifications:

Hospitable. A candidate must be patient, empathetic, and work well with others, in addition to being extremely likable. This position is a people-facing position that involves teamwork. Our office is a close team relying heavily on each other. Proficiency in English language (grammatically correct speaking, reading, and writing skills at a native speaker proficiency). A core responsibility of the role is communicating effectively with patients, physicians, and pharmacies. Speaking multiple languages is a strong plus, but not required. Intermediate-level computing and typing skills.

Examples include:

data entry, word processing, calendaring/scheduling, internet search, electronic fax, phone systems, and email. Must have familiarity with using Windows operating systems. A basic typing and computer test will be administered during the interview. Fast learner. The practice is growing every day. The candidate should be prepared and desire personal and professional growth, and be able to receive constructive criticism very well, with the end goal of delivering the best medical care possible. Experience with working patients in a medical setting is preferred, however, it is not necessary for the right candidate. If the candidate is motivated to learn, takes instruction well, and is very adaptable, he or she will do well, regardless of experience.
