Job Summary Skilled optometric technician wanted for a busy private practice inside the Goleta Costco. This is a real clinic, not a sit-and-wait job. We run a full day of exams. When someone is behind, you jump in. When a machine errors, you fix it or get help and keep the lane moving. If you need to be told what to do every hour, do not apply.

• Pay:
• $20-25/hour
• $20 if you can pretest and still need coaching on OCT/fields
• $20•25 if you can run a lane without someone hovering •What you will do•

Pretest:

history acuities, auto-refractor, NCT

• Visual field and OCT (training available if you can already have pretest down)
• Contact lens insertion/removal teaching
• Keep rooms stocked and patients moving
• Back up the front desk when we get hit with walk-ins
• What we need
• Experience in an optometry or ophthalmology clinic (this is not an entry-level medical assistant job)
• Fast learner who does not need the same lesson twice
• Calm with patients when the morning goes sideways
• Someone coworkers actually want in the office when we are slammed
• Reliable on weekends. This office is open 7 days.
