- Immediate availability Starting Pay range: $28-30 DOE Responsibilities
- Scribe accurately and efficiently during patient examinations
- Perform manual refractions
- Complete preliminary patient workups, including medical and ocular histories, visual acuity measurements, and other standard assessments
- Assist ophthalmologists with diagnostic testing, including OCT imaging and visual field testing
- Administer ophthalmic medications as directed by the physician
- Educate patients about eye-care procedures, treatment plans, and postoperative instructions
- Maintain complete, accurate, and timely patient records in Nextech EHR
- Follow aseptic techniques and established clinical safety protocols
- Help maintain an organized, efficient, and welcoming clinical environment Qualifications
- Previous experience in an ophthalmology or optometry setting is required
- Strong ophthalmic scribing experience
- Proficiency in manual refraction
- Familiarity with ocular anatomy, physiology, terminology, and common ophthalmic procedures
- Experience using electronic health record systems; Nextech experience is strongly preferred
- COA or COT certification is preferred but not required
- Excellent attention to detail, communication skills, and bedside manner
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented private practice We are looking for a dependable, skilled professional who takes pride in accurate documentation, excellent patient care, and supporting an efficient clinical team.
