Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Individuals must possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities or be able to perform the essential functions of the assigned classification, with or without reasonable accommodation(s), using some other combination of skills and abilities. Necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities are as follows: Knowledge of theoretical and clinical optometry. Knowledge of special emphasis within optometric scope of practice and its application to clinical optometry. Able to provide clinical care to patients and clinical education to students and residents. Able to interact and communicate in an effective manner with students, staff, faculty, administration, and outside constituents, be culturally sensitive and maintain confidentiality. Required Qualifications Education:

Doctor of Optometry degree required. License to practice in California.

Experience:

One to three years' experience in an optometric clinical practice or completion of an accredited residency program. Must have a valid driver's license and maintain a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) that satifies the requirements of the WesternU Vehicle Use Policy.
