Optometric Technician/Receptionist Redwood City, CA $25-$28/hour

Full-time:

32-40 hours/week We are an established private optometry practice in Redwood City seeking a friendly, dependable Optometric Technician/Receptionist to join our team. This is a hands-on position combining patient care, clinical testing and front-desk responsibilities. Our staff are cross-trained, and team members also develop optical skills over time. What You'll Do Greet, check in and check out patients Answer phones and schedule appointments Obtain patient histories and enter information into the EHR Perform preliminary testing, autorefraction, retinal imaging and other diagnostic testing Assist the doctor and help keep patient visits running smoothly Process payments and handle routine front-desk duties Learn optical skills including frame selection, eyewear orders, dispensing and adjustments What We're Looking For Friendly and professional with patients Dependable, punctual and organized Comfortable answering phones and using computers Able to multitask in a busy office Willing to learn and work as part of a team Previous experience in optometry, ophthalmology, medical assisting, optical or a medical office is preferred, but not required . We are happy to train a strong candidate with good customer-service skills and an eagerness to learn. Spanish-speaking ability is a plus . Compensation & Benefits $25-$28/hour , based on relevant experience and qualifications.
