We are a busy, fast-paced ophthalmology practice, and we are looking for someone who takes pride in providing excellent patient care while working collaboratively with physicians and coworkers. The ideal candidate is a positive, professional team player who communicates openly and respectfully, and contributes to a positive, drama-free team environment. The ability to multitask, prioritize, and maintain attention to detail in a high-volume clinical environment is essential.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Experience in ophthalmic patient care Experience Strong understanding of health insurance and eligibility Outstanding customer service skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong interpersonal and organizational skills Appointment scheduling experience Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy Ability to multitask and prioritize in a very fast-paced environment Ability to work effectively as part of a team A professional, positive, and respectful attitude Ability to maintain composure and professionalism during busy clinic days Essential Duties & Responsibilities Duties include, but are not limited to: Perform comprehensive patient workups and preliminary testing Obtain and accurately document patient histories and information Perform ophthalmic diagnostic testing, including: Visual fields

OCT/RNFL

Auto keratometry Autorefraction Intraocular pressure measurements Instill topical ophthalmic medications and anesthetic drops as directed Verify patient eligibility and insurance benefits Answer and manage a multi-line telephone system during a busy clinic Schedule and coordinate patient appointments Schedule referrals and assist with referral coordination Update and maintain patient demographic information Print face sheets and other necessary patient documentation Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EPIC Follow HIPAA privacy and compliance procedures Maintain clean, organized, and properly sanitized clinical areas Assist physicians and other clinical staff as needed Support efficient patient flow throughout the clinic Provide professional, compassionate, and courteous patient service at every interaction Perform other clinical and administrative duties as assigned What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with patients and being part of a team.
