Overview Junior Optical Network Technician San Jose, CA | Full-time | Onsite | Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-5:00
PM Pay:
$21 - $26 per hour (depending on experience) Want to build a technical career in networking and fiber optics? ND Optical Solutions is looking for a sharp, reliable, detail-focused person to join our optical testing team. You'll start by helping us code, test, label, pack, and ship customer orders accurately — and grow into troubleshooting optical transceivers, switches, routers, and test lab projects.

You do not need to be an optics expert on day one. If you understand computers, have some exposure to networking, switches, or routers, and want to learn a real technical trade, we can train the right person.

What You'll Do Code and test optical transceivers for customer orders Use network switches and test equipment to verify product performance Record results, update workflow status, and follow SOPs Label, pack, and help get completed orders out the door Grow into troubleshooting optics, switch testing, and technical lab projects You'll Be a Good Fit If You Are Detail-obsessed and careful with your work Reliable, on time, and ready to work onsite every day Comfortable with computers and interested in networking technology Curious, coachable, and motivated to learn Willing to do both technical work and hands-on operational work Nice to Have 2-year degree, technical certificate, military technical training, or equivalent experience Experience with networking, electronics, fiber optics, computer repair, lab work, or production testing Exposure to switches, routers, scripting, or technical documentation What We Offer Competitive hourly pay with growth opportunities On-the-job training in optical networking and fiber optics Full-time schedule with consistent daytime hours Supportive team environment focused on developing technical skills 401(k), health insurance, PTO, paid holidays, etc. Ready to start building a real technical career in fiber optics and networking?
