Part-Time to Full-Time Join Our Clinical Team San Ramon Family Optometry is an established, busy private optometry practice looking for an experienced Optometric Technician / Clinical Assistant to join our team. We are looking for someone who enjoys working directly with patients and takes pride in providing excellent care. The ideal candidate is energetic, dependable, detail-oriented, personable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment. Previous experience in an optometry or ophthalmology setting is strongly preferred. Starting pay is based on relevant experience. Candidates with hands-on optometry or ophthalmology experience who are proficient in patient workups, pretesting, diagnostic equipment, and EHR documentation may qualify for the higher end of the $22

•27/hour pay range. What You'll Do As part of our clinical team, you will work closely with our optometrists and help prepare patients for their examinations.

Responsibilities include:

Performing complete patient workups and pretesting Obtaining and documenting patient medical and ocular histories Auto-refraction OCT testing Optos retinal imaging Visual field testing Tonometry Accurately documenting information in our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system Triaging patient concerns and communicating important information to our doctors Assisting with contact lens training and patient education Ordering contact lenses Maintaining efficient patient flow throughout the clinic Assisting doctors and other clinical team members as needed Performing additional clinical and office duties as assigned What We're Looking For Our ideal candidate is: Experienced in an optometry or ophthalmology clinical setting Comfortable performing patient workups and operating ophthalmic diagnostic equipment Friendly and confident when interacting with patients Detail-oriented and accurate with documentation Organized and able to multitask in a busy practice Dependable and punctual Comfortable using computers and electronic health records An excellent communicator with strong customer service skills Professional in attitude and appearance A team player who is also able to work independently Willing to learn, take initiative, and help wherever needed Knowledge of vision plans and medical insurance is a plus, but is not required. Schedule This position is available part-time to full-time. Candidates must have schedule flexibility and be willing to work occasional Saturdays .
