Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and efficiently manage the front desk operations, including appointment scheduling and patient check-in/out processes. Conduct patient intake by collecting medical histories, updating electronic health records (EHR), and verifying insurance information in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Measure and assist in comprehensive eye examinations. Prepare patients for ophthalmic examinations by explaining procedures and ensuring their comfort throughout the process. Operate ophthalmic diagnostic imaging equipment including A-scan biometry, tonometry devices, and other ophthalmic diagnostic tools to gather accurate data for diagnosis. Assist with eye refraction procedures and perform basic clinical assessments under the supervision of the optometrist. Maintain strict adherence to aseptic techniques and clinical confidentiality policies while handling medical records and sensitive patient information. Support the use of EMR/EHR systems for accurate documentation of patient visits, test results, and billing information. Manage inventory of medical supplies and ophthalmic equipment to ensure readiness for daily clinic operations. Provide excellent patient service by addressing questions, explaining treatment plans, and ensuring a positive experience during each visit. Requirements Ability to perform basic clinical procedures including vital signs measurement, and maintaining sterile environments through aseptic technique. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality at all times. Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient service and direct patient care in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work effectively as part of a team while demonstrating attention to detail and organizational skills.
