Our established multi-specialty Ophthalmology group is seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Ophthalmic Scribe to join our growing team. You'll play a crucial role in enhancing efficiency of physicians by accurately documenting patient encounters in real-time.
Your Impact:
Real-Time Documentation:
Accurately and thoroughly document medical visits as they occur, directly into the EMR system.
Physician Collaboration:
Work closely with physicians to complete and submit accurate medical records.
Patient Interaction & Screening:
Perform basic ocular screenings and gather patient history.
Efficient Patient Flow:
Assist in maintaining a smooth and efficient patient flow throughout the clinic.
Patient Education:
Review and explain physician instructions with patients.
Clinical & Administrative Support:
Perform clinical and administrative tasks as directed.
What You'll Bring/Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent. Experience in a medical setting, preferably ophthalmology. Excellent data entry and typing skills. Proficiency with EMR systems. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Reliability and a strong work ethic.
Bonus Points:
Previous experience as a Medical Scribe. Knowledge of ophthalmic medical terminology, anatomy, and pathologies. Familiarity with common ophthalmic medications and equipment. Experience with visual acuity measurement and applanation tonometry. Knowledge of medical office procedures.
