Ophthalmic Technician - Join Our Glaucoma/Cataract Specialty Team Are you an experienced Ophthalmic Technician looking for an opportunity to grow your skills in a specialty ophthalmology practice? We would love to meet you! We are seeking an energetic, dependable, and patient-focused Ophthalmic Technician to join our busy glaucoma/ cataract surgery specialty office. This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with a glaucoma specialist while caring for patients with both routine and complex ophthalmic conditions. Prior NextGen experience a huge plus! What You'll Do As an important member of our clinical team, you will help provide an efficient, compassionate, and exceptional patient experience.

Responsibilities may include:

Obtaining and documenting detailed patient histories Reviewing medication and pharmacy information Preparing patients for physician examinations and procedures Visual acuity and pupil testing Refraction/ Topography/ Keratometry Tonometry/Pachymetry Fundus Photography Visual field testing/OCT IOL master/ A-Scan Assisting with minor ophthalmic procedures and laser treatments Accurately documenting detailed information in the EHR Providing patient education and instructions Maintaining efficient patient flow throughout the clinic Ordering medical supplies Assisting in scheduling surgeries Helping with clerical duties as needed Assisting Ophthalmologist with staff supervision What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is someone who is professional, compassionate, organized, detail oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced specialty practice.
