This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with patients, is comfortable with technology, and wants to develop valuable clinical skills in a professional eye care environment. Previous eye care or healthcare experience is highly preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate who brings strong customer service skills, a willingness to learn, and a positive, professional attitude. Candidates with active CPO, CPOA, or CPOT certification are strongly encouraged to apply and may qualify for higher starting compensation based on certification and experience. What You'll Do In this role, you will support the optometrist and help provide a positive patient experience throughout the exam process.

Responsibilities may include:

Preparing patients for eye exams Gathering and documenting patient information Performing preliminary vision and diagnostic testing Operating ophthalmic testing equipment Assisting with patient education and clinical procedures Maintaining clean, organized exam rooms and equipment Supporting scheduling, insurance verification, and other patient-care needs as needed What We're Looking For High school diploma or equivalent required Previous eye care, healthcare, medical, dental, or other patient-facing experience highly preferred CPO, CPOA, or CPOT certification is a plus Strong customer service and communication skills Comfortable using computers and learning new technology Organized, dependable, and attentive to detail Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment Positive team-oriented attitude and willingness to learn Schedule & Benefits 4-day workweek Full time Approximately 34+ hours per week No weekends $16.50-$18.00 per hour , based on experience Higher starting pay available for active CPO, CPOA, or CPOT certification Generous PTO and paid holidays Employee discount Uniform allowance On-the-job training Opportunity for professional growth Supportive team environment Application Note Applicant screening and recruitment for this position are managed by Purciarele Group , allowing the Emerald Coast Eye Care team to remain focused on providing excellent patient care.
