Job Summary Our respected Ophthalmic practice (Clinton Sheets, MD and Amy Martino, MD) is hiring a full-time or part-time ophthalmic technician in the greater Tampa/Clearwater area. If full time, this job will mainly include shifts in Clearwater and Tampa . As the practice grows, travel will become less. The ideal candidate will work with the doctor, staff, and patients for comprehensive eye exams, focusing on medical and surgical management of glaucoma and cataracts.

THIS POSITION REQURES TRAVEL TO BOTH OUR TAMPA AND CLEARWATER OFFICES

•The new hire will be responsible for obtaining and verifying patient information, as well as creating and updating patient records accordingly. Performing refractions, diagnostic testing (e.g. visual fields and OCTs), assisting in consents/setup for minor procedures (mostly laser) and helping with patient call-backs are also included. Positivity and teamwork are a must. Being able to refract is a necessity. We use minus cylinder, but this can be trained if you know plus cylinder. As this practice continues to grow, so will this position. More qualified candidates will also be considered at this time. Minimum Requirements 1+ year(s) of relevant work experience with ophthalmic/optometric practice High School Diploma or GED equivalent High-energy and a positive attitude Hours may include Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4:30pm Salary to commensurate with experience

Pay:

$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
