Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Ophthalmic Technician / Office Support professional to join our dynamic eye care team. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care while supporting the daily operations of our optometry practice. Your expertise will ensure smooth clinic flow, accurate medical documentation, and a welcoming environment for all patients. This position offers an exciting opportunity to combine clinical skills with administrative support, contributing to improved patient outcomes and overall practice efficiency. Duties Greet patients warmly, verify insurance information, and assist with patient intake processes to ensure a seamless check-in experience Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and oxygen saturation levels accurately using proper aseptic techniques Prepare patients for eye examinations by conducting preliminary tests and assisting ophthalmologists during exams Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations and manage medical records with precision using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Epic Assist with optical procedures including lens measurements, frame selections, and basic optical adjustments to enhance patient satisfaction Support clinic operations by managing front desk responsibilities, scheduling appointments, and handling retail sales of eyewear products with retail math proficiency Perform administrative tasks such as medical coding and billing to ensure accurate documentation and reimbursement processes Assistance with office details Requirements Prior experience in optometry or medical office settings is highly preferred; clinic experience is a plus Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately Understanding of HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy at all times Join us in making a difference by providing top-tier eye care in a supportive environment!
