Ophthalmic Technician Location:
Hinesville, GA Status:
Full-Time We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Ophthalmic Technician to join our team! As an Ophthalmic Technician, you will be responsible for assisting ophthalmologists in diagnosing and treating eye diseases and disorders. You will work closely with patients to obtain medical histories, perform diagnostic tests, and provide support during procedures.
Responsibilities:
  • Obtain patient medical histories and perform preliminary eye exams
  • Conduct diagnostic tests such as visual acuity, tonometry, and refractometry
  • Assist ophthalmologists during procedures such as eye exams, surgeries, and laser treatments
  • Administer eye drops and medications as directed by the ophthalmologist
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
  • Clean and maintain ophthalmic equipment and instruments

Requirements Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Certification as an Ophthalmic Technician preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience in an ophthalmology or optometry setting
  • Knowledge of ophthalmic equipment and instruments
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
