We are seeking a dependable and personable Optometric Assistant / Optometric Technician to help prepare patients for examination and keep our clinical schedule running smoothly. Previous optometry experience is helpful but not required . We are willing to train the right person who is dependable, organized, coachable, and comfortable working with patients. Responsibilities Greet and prepare patients for examinations. Obtain and document patient history. Check visual acuities. Perform preliminary testing as trained. Perform lensometry. Assist with autorefraction and other testing. Enter results accurately into the patient record. Prepare and clean exam rooms. Clean and maintain testing equipment. Keep clinical areas stocked and organized. Assist the doctor as needed. Help maintain smooth patient flow. Shared Office Responsibilities All team members are cross-trained and expected to: Answer incoming phone calls. Schedule and reschedule appointments. Assist walk-ins with scheduling. Obtain and enter insurance information. Verify insurance eligibility and benefits. Document messages accurately. Help provide front-office coverage when needed. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Healthcare or optometry experience preferred but not required. Comfortable using computers and learning new equipment. Friendly and professional with patients. Dependable and punctual. Organized and detail-oriented. Able to multitask in a busy office. Coachable and willing to learn. Pay:
$12.00 - $15.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 - 30.0 per week
