No problem! Medical experience is preferred but not required—we are happy to train the right person who is eager to learn and grow. As an Ophthalmic Technician, you will play an essential role in providing exceptional patient care while supporting our physicians in a fast-paced, team-oriented practice. We welcome candidates with medical experience, but we are also committed to training the right individual who is eager to learn, compassionate, and dedicated to delivering outstanding care. Responsibilities Welcome patients and obtain a thorough medical and ocular history. Perform visual acuity testing and other preliminary eye examinations. Measure intraocular pressure using applanation tonometry. Perform diagnostic testing, including: Auto-refraction Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) Visual field testing ARGOS biometry Lensometry Perform manifest refractions. Prepare patients for examination and assist the physician during clinic visits. Prepare and organize patient charts to ensure efficient clinic flow. Maintain accurate electronic medical records and documentation. Clean, sterilize, and maintain ophthalmic instruments using proper autoclave procedures and infection control protocols. Prepare examination rooms and diagnostic equipment for patient care. Educate patients on testing procedures and provide compassionate support throughout their visit. Work collaboratively with physicians and staff to provide an exceptional patient experience.

Pay:

$19.00 - $23.00 per hour
