Clinic Supervisor Job Summary:
This individual is responsible for assisting medical providers and staff in providing medical care, as well as implementing and evaluating direct patient care. In this position you will prepare a patient for examination using EMR; perform office based testing and treatment(s); coordinate and manage patient flow and care. You will be expected to develop and maintain effective communication. Job Duties including but are not limited to: Promptly greet all patients upon appointment arrival.
Standard clinical tasks:
check vision; appropriate documentation/charting of services/procedure in EMR system; running various diagnostic test (visual field, OCT, Fundus Photography, IOL Master, Applinate, Angle Check, and Refract); calling in prescriptions. Other duties as assigned or necessary, including but not limited to: Scheduling appointments, placing follow-up calls to patients, screening phone calls, and paperwork.
Education & Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent 1+ years ophthalmic assistant experience
Essential Skills & Abilities:
Excellent customer service and communication skills Strong computer skills including the ability to work with EMR and scheduling software Accurate data entry Ability to work as a team member Management of multiple tasks simultaneously Motivation to succeed Strong organization with attention to detail Empathetic personality with concern and respect for patients' needs Composed under pressure
Responsibilities:
Data Entry & Chart Administration Enter patient information into EMR system File reports and charts Schedules, reschedules, and cancel appointments as necessary Telephone & Greeting Answers telephone calls promptly (two rings) Addresses the caller's concern Directs all calls to appropriate personnel Identifies emergency calls and schedules appropriately Clinic Responsibilities Cleaning down rooms between patients Provides clear instructions for patients when running tests Run testing when Dr.'s call out for testing
WORK SCHEDULE
Office hours are M-F from 07:45 AM - 5:00 PM and Saturday from 07:45 AM - 12:00 PM. Must be able to work full time with 2 Saturdays a month and travel to our different locations
