Job Description
## Overview We are seeking a dedicated Optometric Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for eye care and providing exceptional service to our patients. No previous experience or training is necessary, willing to train. Ability to get along with others and patients is a must. ## Responsibilities
- Conduct preliminary testing for patients, including visual acuity, color vision, depth perception, and other diagnostic tests
- Assist the optometrist with patient care procedures
- Perform contact lens insertion and removal training with patients
- Maintain and clean ophthalmic instruments and equipment
- Manage patient records accurately and efficiently
- Provide support in frame selection and lens options for patients
- Assist with medical billing and insurance claims processing
- Answering phone call and scheduling patients ## Experience
- Optometry or Ophthalmology experience is a plus but not necessary ###
Required Skills:
- Some knowledge of medical billing procedures
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations
- Experience in optical or medical office settings
- Understanding of aseptic techniques in a clinical environment
- Familiarity with computers is preferred, we use electronic medical records.
- Familiarity with microsoft word and excel
- Able to type at least 40-60 words per minute ###
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Retail sales experience
- Proficiency in retail math concepts
