Job Description

## Overview We are seeking a dedicated Optometric Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for eye care and providing exceptional service to our patients. No previous experience or training is necessary, willing to train. Ability to get along with others and patients is a must. ## Responsibilities
  • Conduct preliminary testing for patients, including visual acuity, color vision, depth perception, and other diagnostic tests
  • Assist the optometrist with patient care procedures
  • Perform contact lens insertion and removal training with patients
  • Maintain and clean ophthalmic instruments and equipment
  • Manage patient records accurately and efficiently
  • Provide support in frame selection and lens options for patients
  • Assist with medical billing and insurance claims processing
  • Answering phone call and scheduling patients ## Experience
  • Optometry or Ophthalmology experience is a plus but not necessary ###
Required Skills:
  • Some knowledge of medical billing procedures
  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations
  • Experience in optical or medical office settings
  • Understanding of aseptic techniques in a clinical environment
  • Familiarity with computers is preferred, we use electronic medical records.
  • Familiarity with microsoft word and excel
  • Able to type at least 40-60 words per minute ###

  • Retail sales experience
  • Proficiency in retail math concepts
