Exact Eye Care in Storm Lake, Iowa has an immediate opening for a full-time or part-time optometry technician / optician focusing primarily on patient care with some retail sales and front desk duties. Exact Eye Care is a clinic offering well-vision exams and advanced vision-medical treatments, as well as a retail boutique featuring designer, fashion and budget family eyewear. We are looking for an energetic, customer-focused individual who can confidently work with patients in a clinical setting, perform vision pretesting and make eyewear and frame recommendations based on patients' style, face shape, features and prescription. The ideal candidate will work directly with patients and doctors to provide clinical assistance and perform vision pretesting, as well as recommend the best lens and frame options with a focus on optical sales and patient / customer styling. Experience and license preferred but will train the right team member. Additional administrative duties include insurance verification and claim submission.

Position details:

Full-time or part-time position available Salary and bonus based on experience Paid time off, vision insurance and health insurance available to full-time employees Starting salary $16 per hour with possible increase for licensed candidates or candidates with previous clinical, optical, optical sales or insurance experience. Hours - Clinic hours are Monday-Friday 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM with one evening until 7:00 PM and one Saturday morning per month.
