Chicago Cornea Consultants is an expanding ophthalmology practice with four locations and one open position for a Full-Time Ophthalmic Technician. We are seeking a motivated, dependable, and patient-focused technician to join our team. Training is available for the right candidate.

Schedule:

Monday-Friday Saturdays as needed Occasional travel between offices (Rush, Highland Park)

Essential Duties And Responsibilities:

Work up patients including complete histories with accurate documentation in EMR (Nextech) Perform ophthalmic testing including: Manual refraction & visual acuity Tonometry (Icare / Tono-Vera / applanation) Pachymetry Visual fields Corneal topography / Pentacam OCT, fundus photography, specular microscopy, Lenstar Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and in-office treatments Prepare patients for scheduled procedures and assist with pre-op and post-op counseling Assist with minor treatments, corneal cross-linking, and refractive surgery (training provided if interested) Triage patient phone calls, faxes, and assist with prior authorizations Clean, calibrate, and maintain equipment per OSHA and infection-control standards Ensure exam rooms are stocked, clean, and functional Assist providers and staff as needed and complete opening/closing duties
