We strongly believe that the manner in which our patients are treated by our employees is as important as the services provided by the doctors. Position requires, attention to detail and willingness to help in other areas. Accurately document patient histories, examination findings, diagnoses, treatment plans, and physician recommendations in the electronic medical record (EMR). Assist physicians with real-time clinical documentation and procedures during patient examinations. Review and update patient histories, medications, allergies, and relevant medical information as directed. Become familiar with ophthalmic terminology, diagnoses, procedures, medications, and common eye conditions. Assist with reviewing previous ophthalmic records, testing, imaging, and diagnostic information as requested by the physician. Ensure documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with practice standards. Assist with maintaining an efficient patient flow throughout the clinic. Communicate professionally with physicians, technicians, front-office staff, and patients. Maintain strict patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and other applicable privacy requirements. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience as a medical scribe, ophthalmic scribe, medical assistant, ophthalmic technician, or in a healthcare setting preferred. Strong interest in ophthalmology and willingness to learn ophthalmic terminology and clinical concepts. Excellent typing, listening, spelling, and written communication skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately document information. Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced clinical environment. Professional, dependable, and team-oriented. Comfortable learning and using electronic medical record systems. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive patient information.
