Busy surgery center is seeking a full-time, ophthalmic technician. Position requires basic knowledge of ophthalmology, attention to detail and willingness to help in other areas. Communicates to patient in a manner that gives them an understanding and confidently prepares them for their upcoming procedure. Understands how to perform A-scans, IOL Master, OCT's and Corneal Topography. Communicates well with patients about Cataract and Lasik surgery, YAG lasers, LPI's and corneal surgeries. Displays utmost professionalism in a medical office setting. Energetic and empathetic with all demographics of patients. Consistently displays positive relationships with coworkers and doctors. Takes pride and ownership in the success and image of our surgery center. Demonstrates initiative in accomplishing surgery center goals.
