Job Summary Join our dynamic eye care team as an Optometric Technician / Front Desk Receptionist, where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and ensuring smooth clinic operations. This energetic position combines front desk responsibilities with clinical support, offering a rewarding opportunity to work closely with patients and healthcare professionals. You will be the friendly face welcoming patients, managing appointments, and assisting with ophthalmic examinations and diagnostic procedures. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create a positive experience for every patient while supporting the clinical team with essential technical tasks. Responsibilities Prepare patients for eye exams, including obtaining medical histories and chief complaints Perform preliminary testing (e.g., Visual field, OCT, Optos, IOP) Educate patients on procedures, treatments, and basic eye care instructions Greet patients warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in procedures to create a welcoming atmosphere Manage patient appointments, confirmations, and rescheduling to optimize clinic flow Answer patient inquiries via phone, text or in person with clear, friendly communication Requirements Prior experience in healthcare, customer service, or optometry preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy environment Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is a plus Willingness to be cross-trained in both clinical and front desk duties Join us if you're passionate about eye health, eager to learn new skills in optometry and dedicated to providing compassionate patient care! Work Schedule 4.5 days per week and 1 Saturday per month (half day)
