About the
Role:
Arnett Vision Care is looking for a motivated and patient-focused Optometric Technician to join our team in Florence, KY! In this role, you'll play a vital part in delivering exceptional eye care experiences by supporting our optometrists and ensuring patients feel comfortable and well cared for every step of the way.
Responsibilities:
Perform preliminary patient testing including visual acuity, tonometry, and autorefraction Assist the optometrist during comprehensive eye exams and specialty procedures Accurately document patient medical histories, chief complaints, and exam findings Educate patients on contact lens care, insertion, and removal techniques Manage patient flow and prepare exam lanes for appointments Support front office staff with scheduling, patient check-in, and insurance verification as needed
Requirements:
No experience required as an optometric technician Familiarity with ophthalmic diagnostic equipment and testing procedures Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-first attitude Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment Detail-oriented with accurate data entry and record-keeping abilities
