Job Summary Huffman and Huffman has been an established practice in our community since 1992, providing the best in patient care, and improving the vision and lives of the people in London, Somerset, Lexington, Harlan, Hazard and Middlesboro Kentucky. Responsibilities and Duties We are looking to hire a full time Ophthalmic Assistant, no experience required but with the understanding that you will complete your certification for Ophthalmic Assistant C.O.A. in a timely manner. Assistants document patient chief complaint and medical history. Also, will be checking patients' vision and refraction along with any testing requested by the doctor. We are looking for an energetic person who is able to multi-task, work quickly, and accurately. Must be dependable, willing to travel and willing to work occasional late evenings. Qualifications and Skills High school diploma or GED required. Associates degree preferred but not required. Excellent communication skills. Must complete a COA certification after 1 year.
