The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care within an ophthalmology setting. You will be responsible for assisting ophthalmologists in various clinical tasks, ensuring a smooth workflow, and maintaining a welcoming environment for patients. Prefer 1-2 years experience in Ophthalmology or Retina. Responsibilities Conduct patient intake, including obtaining medical history and performing preliminary assessments. Measure and record vital signs accurately. Be able to perform manual refractions. Reading a lensometer is required. Assist with diagnostic tests and procedures such as visual fields, OCTs, Argos, or Ascans. Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations. Document patient information in electronic medical records (EMR) system. Provide education to patients regarding eye health and treatment options. Support the ophthalmologist during examinations and minor surgical procedures. Manage medical records and ensure accurate documentation of all patient interactions. Assist with front desk duties, including scheduling appointments. Surgery Scheduling Requirements Previous experience in a medical office or clinic setting is preferred, particularly in ophthalmology. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on patient Experience in Ophthalmology. Must be detail-oriented, organized, and able to work well under pressure.
