Job Summary:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Ophthalmic Technician to support our optometrist and clinical operations. This position offers on-the-job training for candidates with limited experience. A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and excellent communication skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Ophthalmic Technician Duties:

Greet and prepare patients for exams, taking thorough patient histories Perform pre-testing including visual acuity, auto-refraction, tonometry, OCT, fundus photography, etc. Assist the doctor during eye exams and procedures Administer eye drops and perform contact lens training Maintain clean, organized exam rooms and equipment Document accurately in the electronic health record (EHR)

Qualifications:

Previous experience as an ophthalmic technician is required Strong interpersonal and communication skills Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented Attention to detail and good organizational skills Comfort with basic computer tasks and EHR systems
