Optometric Technician:

Work patients up through various pre-testing tasks, enter information in electronic health record and guide patients through the exam process. Hours will be Monday/Wednesday/Thursday, 8:30-5:00, Tuesday 11:00-7:00, Fridays 8:30-4 and Saturdays 8:30-12:30-hours may vary somewhat depending upon patient flow. When working Saturdays, will leave on Fridays at 2:00. Summary As an Optometric Technician, you will be essential in delivering outstanding patient care . Your core skills in optometry and medical terminology will support effective patient interactions and ensure accurate record-keeping. Utilizing your premium skills in intake and vital signs, you will assist in patient assessments while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Your relevant experience with EMR systems and retail sales will enhance our clinic's efficiency and patient satisfaction. Qualifications Preferred experience in a medical office setting, especially in optometry or ophthalmology but willing to train right candidate Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology helpful Familiarity with EMR systems and medical coding/billing practices Excellent patient care skills, with a focus on HIPAA compliance Ability to perform intake procedures and vital sign assessments Experience in retail sales and front desk operations, with an understanding of retail math is a plus
