Job Description

Job Title:
Optometric Technician & Receptionist/Front Desk Associate Company:

Full-Time The Schedule:
Four-Day Work Week (Monday-Thursday): Enjoy a guaranteed three-day weekend, every single week. No Fridays. No weekends.
Hours:
You will be scheduled for approximately 35 to 40 hours per week, which includes 1 to 2 evenings until approximately 7 PM.
Compensation & Benefits:
Hourly Wage:
$20.00 - $24.00 per hour (based on experience) Paid Time Off (PTO)

You will work directly with the doctor and an experienced longtime team member who will help train and support you. We do not expect you to know everything on day one. We will absolutely train the right person no matter your prior experience. What you will do This is a cross-trained role with variety throughout the day.
You will be responsible for:
Welcoming patients, checking them in and out, answering phones, and scheduling appointments Verifying medical and vision insurance benefits before visits Collecting copays and helping patients understand their appointments and coverage Performing pre-testing before the patient sees the doctor Entering patient histories, complaints, and intake form information into the electronic medical record Keeping the office clean, stocked, organized, and ready for patients Assisting patients with frame selection, basic adjustments, and eyewear or contact-lens orders Helping to create a warm, organized, efficient experience for patients of all ages What we are looking for You do not need prior optometry experience to apply. Qualifications & Requirements Education:
High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
Experience:
At least 1 year of face-to-face customer-service experience in retail, hospitality, a medical or dental office, optical, reception, or another service-focused setting
Tech-Savvy:
Comfortable navigating computers, learning new clinical software, and operating diagnostic equipment.
Communication:
Warm, clear, and professional communication skills in person, on the phone, and in writing.
Physical Capabilities:
Ability to move throughout the office during clinic hours and safely assist patients of varying ages and physical mobility into and out of examination chairs, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Work Eligibility:
Must be 18 years of age or older and authorized to work in the United States. Strongly preferred, but not required: Optometry, ophthalmology, medical, dental, or optical experience Insurance-verification or copay-collection experience Electronic medical record experience Optical sales, frame styling, frame adjustments, or contact-lens experience Spanish-language skills How to Apply We read every application ourselves.
