Job Description
Seeking an energetic, motivated, and versatile Ophthalmic Technician for our Silver Spring and Hyattsville location. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-known multi-physician/location Eye Care Center and build upon existing skills for career advancement as you grow with the company. The ideal candidate is required to have strong attention to detail, the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and the passion to deliver excellent Patient Care with a positive outlook. Greet and assist patient's transition throughout the office Perform preliminary work up, gather chief complaints/demographic information, check vitals, eye pressure, and visual acuity Perform photography such as; OCT, Fluorescein Angiograms, Fundus and Visual Field Maintain and sterilize exam rooms and ophthalmic equipment/instruments Assist with preparing patients for basic procedures and administering eye drops Write doctor letters and scribe for ophthalmologists/optometrists Answer multi-phone lines, accurately route calls, and take detailed messages
