We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and detail-oriented Optometric Technician / Assistant/Scribe to join our patient-focused eye care team. In this role, you will work closely with the doctor to assist with patient testing, collect medical histories, and help ensure a smooth and efficient exam experience. This position is ideal for someone interested in healthcare or medical careers who enjoys working with patients and learning clinical technology. Previous optometry experience is helpful, but we are happy to train the right candidate . Responsibilities Patient Testing Perform patient pre-testing prior to the eye exam Collect and accurately document patient medical and ocular history Communicate patient questions or concerns to the doctor Operate Diagnostic Equipment You will be trained to operate and maintain equipment such as: Lensometer Auto-refractor / keratometer iCare tonometer (eye pressure testing) Retinal wide-field imaging (Optomap) Visual field testing Visual acuity testing Clinic Support Prepare and maintain exam rooms Maintain clinical supplies (alcohol pads, fluorescein strips, etc.) Ensure diagnostic equipment is clean and functioning properly Assist with inventory and supply tracking What We're Looking For Strong communication and patient service skills Excellent attention to detail Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment Comfortable learning and operating medical equipment Reliable, organized, and team-oriented Preferred (But Not Required) Experience in optometry, ophthalmology, or medical assisting Interest in healthcare or medical careers Previous customer service experience Schedule Part-Time | Monday-Friday Apply today to join a supportive team and gain valuable experience in a clinical healthcare setting.
