This position is full-time in Traverse City. Occasional travel to the Kalkaska and Cadillac clinics will be required. A focus on customer service and patient care is paramount. This position requires excellent interpersonal skills to fulfill the role of an Ophthalmic Tester, Tech or Scribe. The following is required for this position: Certification (preferred, not required) Excellent verbal and written communication skills Timeliness Organization skills Ability to learn new software Considerable attention to detail Ability to multitask A genuine interest in improving patient's quality of life Some duties for the Testing position include: Visual Fields IOL Calculations Corneal Topography Pachys A-Scans OCT's Fundus Photography Some duties for the Technician position include: Checking vision Refraction Checking intraocular pressure Obtaining health and ocular history Pupillary response Testing Some duties for the Scribe position include: Assist physician with documentation of patient's medical record Transcribe history and examination as given by the patient and the physician Transcribe the impression and plan, results of tests, prescriptions and orders Document procedures performed by the physician Our mission is to be committed to providing the highest quality medical, surgical and optical care in Northern Michigan.
