As an Ophthalmic Technician, you will play a crucial role in assisting ophthalmologists in providing quality eye care to our patients. Your responsibilities will include conducting preliminary eye exams, performing diagnostic tests, and providing support during surgical procedures. Duties

• Perform patient intake and history, including documenting medical records and chief complaints
• Conduct various diagnostic tests such as visual acuity, tonometry, and visual field testing
• Administer eye drops and medications as directed by the ophthalmologist
• Perform medical billing and coding for services rendered
• Maintain inventory of ophthalmic supplies and ensure equipment is properly cleaned and sterilized
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care Skills
• Excellent patient care skills with the ability to provide compassionate and empathetic care
• Strong knowledge of ocular anatomy, physiology, and common eye conditions
• Proficient in medical billing and coding procedures
• Familiarity with electronic medical record systems Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent required; certification as an Ophthalmic Technician preferred
• Previous experience working in an ophthalmology or optometry setting is highly desirable
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
