Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Ophthalmic Technician to join our team.Responsibilities:
- Perform preliminary patient work-up including vital signs, visual acuity, and history taking
- Assist ophthalmologists with patient care procedures
- Conduct diagnostic tests such as tonometry and visual field testing
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using electronic medical record systems
- Clean and maintain ophthalmic instruments and equipment
Experience:
- Experience in ophthalmology or optometry setting preferred
- Knowledge of medical coding and billing practices
- Familiarity with aseptic techniques for instrument sterilization
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality
