Cary Eye Associates is a growing and friendly optometry practice dedicated to providing exceptional eye care services in a welcoming environment. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Part-time Ophthalmic Technician. No prior experience is necessary - we provide full on-the-job training. This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in healthcare and looking to start a career in eye care. Responsibilities Greet and prepare patients for exams Take patient histories and document relevant medical information Perform basic vision tests and preliminary diagnostic testing Assist the doctor with any needs Handle referrals and any patient medical questions/complaints Order all contact orders (patients and stock) Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of equipment Support administrative tasks as needed Requirements Excellent communication and customer service skills Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills Positive attitude and ability to work well in a team High school diploma or equivalent
