Stocking Full Job Description Schedule:
Mondays and Wednesdays, 7:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m. This is a consistent two day per week position with the potential for additional hours as the practice grows. Clear & Company Eye Care is hiring a part-time Optometric Technician to assist with patient testing and support the doctor throughout the exam process. This position requires someone who is dependable, organized, comfortable using technology, and able to keep patients moving efficiently through the office. Responsibilities Review and update patient medical histories, medications, and exam concerns Perform visual acuities and preliminary testing Operate equipment used for autorefraction, tonometry, Optomap retinal imaging, and screening OCT Enter patient information and test results accurately into the electronic health record (Eyefinity EHR) Prepare patients and exam rooms for the doctor Explain testing procedures and provide clear instructions to patients Maintain clean, stocked, and organized testing and exam areas Monitor patient flow and help keep appointments on schedule Communicate relevant patient information to the doctor and other team members Assist with additional clinical and administrative tasks when needed Qualifications Must be available every Monday and Wednesday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation skills Dependable and punctual Comfortable learning medical equipment and office software Able to manage multiple responsibilities in a busy environment Professional and clear when communicating with patients and coworkers Willing to accept feedback, learn new skills, and follow established procedures Previous optometry, ophthalmology, or healthcare experience is preferred but not required What We Expect Our core values are reflected in the way we work.
