Job Description

We have an opportunity for an experienced Optical Sales Associate to join our highly rated, independent eye care practice located in
Southport, NC Expectations:
Optical associates are expected to know how to perform all the duties required of a dispensing optician. Associates are expected to be adept at selling and recommending the best solution for a patient and troubleshooting and adjusting eyewear. Associates must operate at a high level of accuracy to ensure the best result for the patient. Associates are expected to be hands-on as patients choose eyewear, and to recommend styles that fit the features and tastes of the patient. Associates must be able to make the patient feel like they are getting the highest level of service they deserve. Associates must be able to demonstrate competence in understanding insurance and vision plans and explain a patient's benefit to them when needed. Associates must demonstrate accuracy in collecting co-pays and calculating and collecting patient balances after adjustments are applied.
Benefits:
No weekend hours. Competitive hourly wage will fluctuate based on experience and licensure, health insurance benefits, 401K, and monthly bonus opportunity. All members of the optical team have input to explore and recommend frame lines and styles and offer unique solutions for those looking for something different. A newly renovated optical space allows optical associates to use their talents to merchandise frame lines to create patient interest, and make the sales floor look good.
Pay:
$17.00 - $20.00 per hour
