Job Description

Medical Team Member Eye Physicians, P.C., Columbus, NE We are seeking a dependable, motivated Medical Team Member who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care. The position available is for a full time Optometric Technician. We are a well established, fast paced, high volume ophthalmology and optometry practice with two surgeons and six Optometrists across our five locations. This position would be for our Columbus location. The Medical Team Member plays an essential role in supporting providers and ensuring a positive patient experience. This position includes both clinical and administrative responsibilities while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, confidentiality, and patient care.
REQUIREMENTS
The Ophthalmic Technician position will require you to be proficient in: Checking vision Taking pressures Performing manual refraction Performing office testing Triage patients as needed Strong computer skills Optical experience a positive, but not required Spanish speaking is a positive, but not required
JOB DUTIES
Ophthalmic Technician will assist in treatment and care of patients by performing a variety of technical duties.
Some of the responsibilities are:
Obtaining patient history to include a chief complaint and past history Perform accurate and consistent documentation Ophthalmic Technician may fill in as a scribe or triage Set up and assist in minor procedures Cleans and stocks exams and testing rooms We offer generous benefits including medical insurance, 401K with employer contribution, and paid vacation time.
